End Times Or In Times

2nd June 2024

At the Tent Church, Pastor Andrew delved into the theme of “End times or In Times,” addressing from 2 Peter 3:8, where it says to God, a thousand years are like a day. Through this perspective, he shed light on the concept of God’s timing, both in the creation of the world and in the anticipation of His return. He reminded the congregation that the phrase “He is coming soon” isn’t bound by human clocks; it’s a timeless truth, urging readiness at any moment. Pastor Andrew’s words stirred hearts to embrace faith and to be ready every time.

In the Tent Church, Pastor Andrew gave a sermon about whether we’re in the “End times or In Times”. He spoke about how in the Bible, it says people will become selfish in the last days. Using a verse from Philippians 2:3, he showed how important it is to care about others. His message reminded us to think about others, not just ourselves, especially in hard times. After the sermon, we left thinking about how we can be kinder to those around us.

End Times Or In Times- Part 3

23th June 2024

In our series “End Times or In Times,” This Sunday we delve into the issue of Greed. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 warns of the dangerous times when people will be lovers of money. Greed drives this love, leading us to prioritize wealth over God. However, as Luke 12:15-21 teaches, the key is to find a balance in preaching that neither glorifies poverty nor promotes greed. When our focus shifts from God to accumulating wealth, it becomes a significant problem.

1 Timothy 6:10 reminds us that the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil, affecting both the rich and the poor. Even those struggling financially can fall into the trap of greed, leading to sins like lying, stealing, and even robbing, as described in 1 John 3:15 and Leviticus 19:11-13. To remove greed from our lives, Hebrews 13:16 encourages us to do good and share with others, starting even when we have little. Additionally, Philippians 4:11-13 teaches us to be content in all circumstances, helping us to combat the grip of greed.

Ultimately, Revelation 21:1-8 offers a vision of a new beginning free from such corruptions, urging us to keep our hearts set on God rather than earthly wealth. Let us strive to remove greed by practicing generosity and contentment, focusing on God’s eternal promises.

End Times Or In Times- Part 4

30th June 2024

In this Sunday Service at the Tent Church, Pastor Andrew focused on the theme of Pride and its dangers. He emphasized that God should be glorified instead of us, referencing Isaiah 42:8. Pride, he explained, leads to our downfall, as seen in the fall of Lucifer in Ezekiel 28:11-19.
Pastor Andrew highlighted that sin arises in the absence of God and is fueled by pride. Drawing from 1 John 4:8, he reminded us that God is love, and when pride enters our hearts, God departs.
He also spoke about the types of pride—pride of spirituality , pride of knowledge, pride of power, and pride of appearance —and warned against them with Proverbs 16:18.

The message concluded by emphasizing the virtue of humility, quoting Proverbs 11:2 and James 4:6, and encouraging us to adopt the mindset of Christ as he was humble and obedient even to the point of death from Philippians 2:5-11.
